The DuBois Housing Authority is a
municipal authority that was created to administer and develop
affordable housing for low income families in the City of
DuBois. The Housing Authority was created in 1968.
Today the Housing Authority provides
assistance to families in DuBois City as well as Brady and Sandy
townships through its Public Housing, Section 8 Housing Choice
Voucher Program, Gray Foundation Apartments, and
Shelter Plus Care Programs.
The housing assistance to low income families is provided
through two main programs, Public Housing and the Section 8
Housing Choice
Voucher programs. The Housing Authority owns and manages public
housing apartments. Additional assistance
is provided to families through the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program
Shelter Plus Care, and Gray Foundation Apartments.
The public housing apartments are located at three primary
communities; Gateway Towers, Garden Grove Townhouses, and
Acquisition Site. The DuBois Housing Authority also
manages Gray Foundation Apartments.
To be considered for housing at any of these developments
families must apply and meet eligibility guidelines. |
