Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program

 

The DuBois Housing Authority is responsible for administering the Section 8 rental assistance program. The staff administers Vouchers that are utilized throughout the City of DuBois, and townships of Brady and Sandy.  The staff is responsible for monitoring tenant and landlord compliance with the program regulations.

The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program provides rental assistance in the form of a voucher to extremely low and very-low income families, singles, senior citizens, disabled and handicapped individuals. 

Eligible applicants will be issued a "Housing Choice Voucher." Holders are responsible for finding their own suitable housing within the housing authority's jurisdiction based upon the size of their family and the requirements of the program.

- Applications are available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.  and Friday 8:00 A.M. to Noon.

All applicants must provide the following information or documentation for all household members:
- Income and assets
- Birth Certificates
- Social Security cards
- Declaration of Citizenship
